So how can we help you?

First our Local has been representing Labor for more than 100 years, so we have experience dealing with difficult bosses! By joining a union, you can stand up for yourself and the 'Boss' is forced to listen. A Union is a group of people who care about their present working conditions and want to have a voice about their financial future.  Our Union offers pension plans that are Employer and Member Contributed and we also have a self – insured Health Plan. 

So, what should you expect, well this is the 1….2….3…:

  1. Sign your Authorization Card (Card saying you want the Union) Don’t worry your boss will never know if you signed a card
  2. If the Union can receive enough interest from the employees, then the Union files for recognition with National Labor Relations Board.The employees must wait a timeframe for the company to get notified that the employees want a union.
  3. All employees will get a chance to vote for Union Recognition, if the majority votes for the Union
  4. The Union will sit with the members to discuss their first contract which includes, wages, working conditions, Health Care, Retirement Plans and more……
